When we get sick, we should not need to worry about losing pay or even our job. In California, all employers are required to provide paid sick leave according to the Los Angeles Minimum Wage Ordinance.

When someone in our community faces a challenge, we show up for each other. Because who else is going to protect us but us? Wage theft is the illegal practice of not paying workers for all of their work. This includes violating minimum wage laws, not paying overtime, and forcing workers to work off the clock.

From July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023, the minimum wage in Los Angeles County is $15.96 per hour. All employers in the County must post the required workplace poster and pay this minimum wage rate, with few exceptions.
