Organizing & Policy Action Coordinator

Organizing & Policy Action Coordinator:

 

The Organizing & Policy Action Coordinator would report to the Campaign & Coalition Manager who would serve as a thought partner in how to prioritize and carry out the work. Ideal candidates must be able to strategize and shape comprehensive (research, legal, policy, communications, and grassroots and grass tops field) direct action campaigns that engage members.

 

Candidates must be able to empathize and build relationships with partner allies and stakeholders, as well as coalitional and partnership relationships at leadership and staff level with unions, community-based organizations and political stakeholders that center Black workers.

 

Compensation and Benefits:
Full-time position, local to South Central Los Angeles, up to $34 per hour depending on experience, plus a generous benefit package of health and dental insurance, retirement plan, sick, vacation, and floating holidays.

IT Systems and Support Specialist

IT Systems and Support Specialist:

 

The IT Systems & Support Specialist is a key member of our Technology & Operations team, playing a critical role in supporting the digital infrastructure of a rapidly growing organization as we prepare to expand our advocacy work. Under the supervision of the IT Coordinator, as a member of the Operations Team. This position provides hands-on technical support, manages day-to-day IT operations, ensures systems are secure and reliable, and helps build the technology capacity required for programs, campaigns, field work, and organizational growth.

 

Compensation and Benefits:
Full-time position, local to South Central Los Angeles, up to $30 per hour depending on experience, plus a generous benefit package of health and dental insurance, retirement plan, sick, vacation, and floating holidays.

Organizing Director

Organizing Director:

 

The Organizing Director will oversee robust Organizing and Campaigns Departments, develop and execute winning campaigns, and steward leadership development pipelines that strengthen both LABWC and the broader movement ecosystem.This position reports to the Co-Executive Director of Organizing & Programs and works in close partnership with senior leadership.

 

Provide strategic leadership for LABWC’s organizing vision, including long-term power-building strategies that integrate community organizing, workplace organizing, and policy-adjacent campaigns. The Organizing Director will represent LABWC at external meetings, coalitions, and public forums, and serve as a strategic spokesperson for organizing campaigns when appropriate.

 

Cultivate a strong leadership development culture within the department, including supporting staff to mentor emerging organizers and develop protégés who contribute to the broader movement beyond LABWC.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

Full-time, exempt position; salary commensurate with experience and scope of responsibility up to $95,000 a year. Plus, a generous benefit package of health and dental insurance, retirement plan, sick, vacation, and floating holidays.
