Director of Policy Advocacy

Director of Policy Advocacy: This role reports directly to the Co-Executive Director of Organizing and Programs and serves as a pivotal member of both the LABWC Leadership Team. The Director of Policy Advocacy will provide internal leadership to set strategy and may directly supervise staff across project teams, as well as external leadership to strengthen organizational partnerships, direct consultants, and facilitate collaborative work plans. The successful candidate will show high self-direction, sound professional judgment, and strong interpersonal communication as well as a familiarity with relevant government policy making and enforcing processes. Compensation: $90,000 – $95,000 yearly (depending on experience)

Development Specialist

Development Specialist: We are seeking an individual who is excited and eager to learn all aspects of development while gaining skills in relationship building, stewardship, communications, donor database work, and events. We are looking for an individual with an ability to create, manage, and sustain relationships with staff and donors; has a proven ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and can work independently and collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities. We are seeking a people-focused, tech-savvy professional with passion, drive, strong interpersonal skills, and a natural ability to work intuitively. The ideal candidate is a collaborative self-starter, excellent oral and written communicator, who thrives in a dynamic environment and is ready to make an impact. Internal Community Organizer

Internal Community Organizer: The internal community organizer will help build and sustain the membership base of the LABWC. Engage workers and community allies in winning cutting-edge campaigns. Ideal candidates must possess a demonstrated commitment to self-determination for the Black community and social change strategies of union and grassroots community organizing. The internal community organizer reports to the Sr. Lead Organizer. Candidates must be able to empathize and build relationships with Black workers in various industries. Compensation: $20.00 per hour
