Stewards Council, also known as my siblings' keeper, is a peer-to-peer program where Black workers develop the skills and knowledge to address workplace issues confidently. Steward Leaders participate in multiple training sessions focused on the following topics: wage theft, discrimination/racism/anti-Blackness, workplace rights, safe work environments, and health and well-being. Once trained, our Steward Leaders play a key role in disseminating this information throughout the community. They educate fellow workers and provide guidance in identifying, creating, and processing workplace claims, including those for CHRD/DFEH, EEO, WHD, and OSHA.
