The demographic and world changes will have profound influence on the health and long-term survival of the Building and Construction trades. Black workers are skilled union members, and our center can help to promote solidarity, unity, and strength within the trades through increased diversity, understanding, and collaboration. The Los Angeles Black Worker Center actively promotes and endorses the Project labor agreements and Construction Careers Policy to set a standard for good jobs in the community and to ensure dignity and respect for all of its members. Blacks In Construction is focused on building access and retention of Black workers in the regulated construction industry. The BWC sees these polices as opportunities to organize Black Workers in the Building Construction trades and promote Black leadership to transform the regulated construction industry.
